Ann: Good morning.
Pharmacist: Hello, Ann. How can I help you today?
Ann: I was wondering if you could give me some information about a heart attack.
Pharmacist: What do you want to know?
Ann: What are the symptoms?
Pharmacist: The classical symptoms include sudden chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, palpitations and sweating.
Ann: What can cause a heart attack?
Pharmacist: For example tobacco smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, excessive alcohol consumption and chronic high stress levels.
Ann: Wow! Can we do anything to prevent it?
Pharmacist: First of all, you should have your blood pressure measured regularly. You should also change your lifestyle, cease smoking, exercise and limit the amount of alcohol you drink.

Mrs. Jones: My doctor told me I had hypertension. Can you tell me what it is?
Pharmacist: It is simply high blood pressure, Mrs. Jones.
Mrs. Jones: What does it mean?
Pharmacist: It means that your blood pressure is often elevated.
Mrs. Jones: Is it dangerous?
Pharmacist: It can be. It can cause a heart attack or a heart failure. It can also lead to a chronic kidney disease.
Mrs. Jones: What can I do to change it?
Pharmacist: You should change your diet and lifestyle.
